The device for filing documents and paper sheets, like a ring binder or writing board, the ring binder being provided with a rear part (13) and with lid parts (11, 12) as wall parts, these and the rear part being integrally connected to each other via articulation grooves (14, 14a) and with at least one sequencing device (20) arranged on the inner wall surface of a ring binder wall part, having a double-ring or multi-ring rocker-arm or spring-loaded mechanism, fixed to a base plate (25), for loose, perforated sheets, which is detachably retained by its base plate (25) on the ring binder wall part, by means of a mounting arranged on the ring binder wall part, into which mounting the base plate (20) engages, and the writing board being provided with a clamping mechanism which has a base plate, comprises an arrangement wherein the mounting for the base plate (25) of the sequencing device (20) or the clamping mechanism is designed as an assembly plate, this and the base plate (25) being arranged, in the assembled state, on different sides of a lid part (12) or of the rear part (13) of the ring binder (10) or at the top edge of the writing board. <IMAGE>
