Abstract

The unit has a combustion chamber (2) with a burner (3) and a pipe for ventilation exhaust supply (4). The exhaust supply pipe is situated higher than the burner. The unit also has a final combustion chamber (5) with catalytic element (6), and a heat exchanger (7). - The operational efficiency is increased the compactness is ensured and the metal content is reduced, since the unit is provided with V-shaped distribution grid (12) having an apex angle of 120-140 deg., placed between the heat exchanger and the catalytic element made as two sloping four sided prisms whose upper inner sides contact each other. The ventilation exhaust supply pipe axis can cross the burner axis on the opposite side to the combustion chamber. The flow at the inlet to the heat exchanger is smoothed, since the distribution grid surface is perforated with live cross-section of 20-40 per cent. Each perforation has a leaf (13) bent at 90 deg. The leaves are bent away from the distribution grid apex.
