Abstract
Un método para el examen electromagnético basado en la detección del efecto de polarización inducida y la evaluación de sus características para la cartografía de objetivos marinos de hidrocarburos, se caracteriza a) el despliegue vertical en un cuerpo de agua (8) por lo menos un cable eléctrico (2, 3, 3´) que forma un transmisor electromagnético que emite energía electromagnética dispuesta para excitar un campo electromagnético en el cuerpo de agua (8) y el medio subyacente (83), el mismo alambre (2, 3, 3´) se utiliza como receptor para mediciones del componente vertical del campo eléctrico; el método incluye: b) la provisión de datos de examen como la distribución espacial del componente vertical del campo eléctrico y la respuesta del medio en la forma de resistividad aparente contra el tiempo en el cuerpo de agua (8); c) la realización de un análisis de espacio/tiempo del componente vertical del campo eléctrico y la respuesta con el propósito de detectar el efecto de polarización inducida y d) la cartografía de las zonas de anomalías. Las figuras más representativas de la invención son las número 1a, 1b y 1c.
