Abstract
La presente invención describe un método para la prevención o el tratamiento de la enfermedad Huanglongbing (HLB), producida por la bacteria Candidatus ´Liberibacter asiaticus´en los cítricos, que se caracteriza porque comprende la aplicación de un brasinoesteroide seleccionado entre (25R)-3-hidroxi-C-homo-11-oxa-5-espirostan-12-ona y brasinolida a las plantas de cítrico de forma periódica, al menos una vez al mes. La formulación que comprende dichos brasinoesteroides se aplica a plantas de cítricos enfermas durante el tiempo en que se detecte dicha bacteria en las plantas. En el caso de plantas sanas, la aplicación de una formulación con dichos compuestos protege a las plantas tratadas frente a la infección con dicha bacteria.
