El esquema posee un generador diente de sierra que suministra; una secuencia de impulsos que al ser elaborada por el formador produce la senal auxiliar de salida, y tensión diente de sierra que se hace pasar sucesivamente por un seguidor de emisor y un inversor. Finalmente estas senales se aplican al sumador del que se obtiene tensión simétrica triangular.
