Abstract
La presente invención trata de la separación de indio III e hierro (III) mediante extracción líquido-líquido a partir de soluciones sulfúricas (1,5-3M H2SO4). Se logra una separación del 99% de indio anadiendo a la fase orgánica octanol (3-10%) y utilizando el DEHPA en una concentración de 10-20%. Este método se elaboró con vistas a su utilización en la extracción y purificación de indio a partir de subproductos de la producción de ácido sulfúrico.The present invention deals with the separation of indium III and iron (III) by liquid-liquid extraction from sulfuric solutions (1.5-3M H2SO4). 99% indium separation is achieved by adding octanol (3-10%) to the organic phase and using DEHPA in a concentration of 10-20%. This method was developed with a view to its use in the extraction and purification of indium from by-products of the production of sulfuric acid.
