Abstract
Se describe un proceso e instalación para la síntesis de urea a partir de amoníaco y dióxido de carbono, a presión y temperatura elevadas, con la formación de carbamato de amonio como intermediario, el cual incluye una sección de síntesis a alta presión, que comprende por lo menos un paso de separación por descomposición-extracción con amoníaco del carbamato de amonio no convertido, llevado a cabo en un aparato vertical, llamado comúnmente extractor, caracterizado en que dicho paso también comprende una alimentación, en la parte inferior de dicho extractor, de una corriente de CO2, calentada hasta una temperatura que varía desde 130 hasta 230 grados C, en una cantidad de 1 a 15% en peso con respecto al peso total del CO2 fresco alimentado al proceso, que contiene un agente de pasivación en una cantidad tal que su contenido equivalente de O2 en moles varía desde 0,05% hasta 0,80% con respecto a los moles de CO2 de dicha corriente.A process and installation for the synthesis of urea from ammonia and carbon dioxide is described, at elevated pressure and temperature, with the formation of ammonium carbamate as an intermediate, which includes a high pressure synthesis section, comprising at least one step of separation by decomposition-extraction with ammonia of the unconverted ammonium carbamate, carried out in a vertical apparatus, commonly called extractor, characterized in that said step also comprises a feeding, in the lower part of said extractor, of a stream of CO2, heated to a temperature ranging from 130 to 230 degrees C, in an amount of 1 to 15% by weight with respect to the total weight of fresh CO2 fed to the process, which contains a passivation agent in such an amount that its equivalent content of O2 in moles varies from 0.05% to 0.80% with respect to the moles of CO2 of said stream.
