Abstract
Escudo antibalas de uso personal caracterizado por una superficie plana multicapas y un visor con láminas blindadas, destinados a proteger la penetración total de proyectiles de armas de fuego tales como pistolas, revólveres y fragmentos de explosivos <= 16 g con velocidades <=450 m/s. El escudo está constituído por un conjunto de capas de fibras de aramida y de mallas metálicas, las cuales son embebidas por resinas epoxi y de polivinilo de butiral, con un espesor <=20 mm y una distribución de capas simétricas que permiten su aplicación por cualquiera de las caras del escudo.
