Abstract
Las realizaciones de la presente revelación proveen sistemas y métodos para montar empalmes tubulares que superan los inconvenientes y limitaciones de los empalmes convencionales. En ciertas realizaciones, los empalmes tubulares pueden comprender empalmes roscados usados en la exploración petrolífera.Los empalmes pueden ser montados usando una combinación de a) control de posición, b)tolerancias de producción específicas para los parámetros de las roscas, y c) recubrimientos aplicados sobre las áreas roscadas de empalme. En realizaciones adicionales, los empalmes tubulares pueden carecer de un resalto de torsión y/o sellos metal con metal. En realizaciones adicionales,los empalmes además pueden ser montados y desmontados varias veces sin aplicación de aditivo o grasa y exhiben una hermeticidad mejorada. Convenientemente, las realizaciones de la presente revelación pueden proveer empalmes montados con precisión, de alta tolerancia, capaces de demostrar un mejor rendimiento(por ejemplo, comportamiento mecánico, hermeticidad, resistencia a la corrosión, lubricación) y confiabilidad respecto de las conexiones no premium sin el gasto asociado con las conexiones premium.
