Abstract
Mejoras en el procedimiento de la lixiviación ácida de los minerales lateríticos, consistente en los siguientes pasos: -neutralización de la pulpa lixiviada a presión de 36-40 Kg/cm2 y 230-255 grado cercio, mediante la introducción al reactor de una pulpa acuosa de mineral de serpentina, tratado previamente para disminuir su contenido de magnesio e incrementar su contenido de níquel; -separación del sólido del licor por sedimentación; -ajuste final de la acidez del licor, mediante la adición de carbonato básico de magnesio, incrementándose de esta forma la producción de níquel en más de la décima parte de la capacidad de las fábricas que utilizan el procedimiento de lixiviación ácida del mineral laterítico; y a la vez eliminando los agentes empleados hasta el presente en la neutralización del licor, así como sus instalaciones.Improvements in the acid leaching procedure of lateritic minerals, consisting of the following steps: -neutralization of the leached pulp at pressure of 36-40 Kg / cm2 and 230-255 degree cercio, by introducing an aqueous pulp to the reactor serpentine ore, previously treated to decrease its magnesium content and increase its nickel content; -separation of the solid from the liquor by sedimentation; -final adjustment of the acidity of the liquor, through the addition of basic magnesium carbonate, thus increasing the nickel production in more than a tenth of the capacity of the factories that use the acid leaching procedure of the lateritic mineral; and at the same time eliminating the agents used up to now in the neutralization of the liquor, as well as their facilities.
