Abstract
According to the invention, the end of the storage time is detected by the single-phase differentiator 3. It consists essentially of the RC element 31, 32 which is arranged between the collector of the transistor switch 1 and the Ausraeumtransistor 7. Because of the veraenderlichen duration of the storage time of operated in Saettigung transistor switch 1, the reconnection of the driver 6 during the ongoing demagnetization of the transformer 2 is to be prevented. The aim of the invention is the development of a DC-DC converter power amplifier for small input voltage, which has a high efficiency and at the same time improved reliability under load with high Ausgengsstrom despite low space and technical resources required.
The object of the invention is to provide a DC-DC converter output stage for small input voltage, which achieves optimum saturation operation of the transistor switch, an optimal driving of the transistor switch. Without additional inherent losses, the magnetic saturation of the transformer core is to be prevented.
According to the invention, the object is achieved in a transistor switch operated in saturation, the switching off in two phases, achieved in that the end of the storage time is detected by a single-phase differentiator. It consists of an RC glicd and a diode. The RC-Gliod is arranged between the collector of the transistor switch and the base of the clearing transistor. The collector voltage rising at the end of the storage time turns on the clearing transistor in response to its slew rate, turning on the negative base current. The diode is connected in anti-parallel to the base-emitter path of the clearing transistor. In order to avoid the magnetic saturation of a transformer connected to the transistor switch with demagnetization branch which is necessary in this branch demagnetization diode on the ground side. The cathode is connected to the demagnetization winding. The other terminal of the demagnetization branch is connected to the output. The negative drain voltage of the demagnetization diode during the demagnetization phase is transmitted to the base of a driver assigned to the transistor switch by a clamping diode connected here. It prevents the power stage from being switched on before the demagnetization phase of the transformer has expired.
The turn-off losses of the transistor switch continue to decrease when the emitter of the clearing transistor and the diode side of the single-phase differentiating element are connected to ground but not to a negative voltage.
In Fig. 1, the inventive DC-DC converter Endstuic is shown. In the following, the function of the output stage in the steady state will be explained with reference to this figure.
If a periodic positive square-wave voltage with a variable duty cycle is applied to the control input St when an input voltage Ue is present at the input of the DC-DC converter output stage, and if the output Ua is provided with a read impedance, the conduction phase begins after the LH edge of the control pulse of the transistor switch 1. The base current for the transistor switch is removed via the driver 6 from the tap of the primary winding 23. In this way, the operating voltage of the driver 6 is kept small, and there is a high base current at low losses at your disposal. As a result, the transistor switch 1 is turned on at power quickly into the saturation region. The turn-off of the transistor switch 1 begins after the HL edge of the control pulse in two phases: After the expiration of the short storage time of the driver 6 ß / isisstrom the transistor switch 1 is turned off, and after the expiration of the considerably longer storage time of the transistor switch! 1 increases its collector voltage. In response to the rate of change of the collector voltage, the clearing transistor 7 is turned on via the single-phase differentiator 3, and a negative base current starts to flow. The Bar'sstrom dos transistor switch 1 is thereby negative at a time adapted to the load conditions, and the turn-off, and thus the turn-off, are reduced. The rate of change of the collector voltage is reduced by the capacitance of the single-phase differentiating element 3. As a result, the negative effects of the leakage inductance of the transformer 2 are largely reduced. The overshoot of the collector voltage at the beginning of the blocking phase disappears to an insignificant value. At the same time as the collector voltage rises, the voltage in the demagnetization winding 21 also increases. If this voltage is greater than the ground voltage Ua. the demagnetizing current begins to flow and the collector voltage remains at a constant value until the end of demagnetization. Then it drops down to the input voltage Ue. At the beginning of the conductive phase, the direction of change of the collector voltage of the transistor switch 1 is negative, and the slightly negative voltage at the base of the clearing transistor keeps it safely locked. The connection of the demagnetization winding 21 to the output U A causes energy in both operating phases ries transistor switch 1 is transferred to the output Ua. However, energy is transferred for the most part during the Leitendphase, therefore pulse intervals between the control pulses are to be selected as short as possible. The Irnpul j.pausenzeit must be greater than the sum of the storage times of transistor switch 1 and driver 6 and the rise time of the collector voltage of the Trarfsistorschaltere. 1
Over the load range from idle to full load, the storage time of the transistor switch 1 is subject to strong fluctuations, because the degree of saturation of the transistor switch 1 is not constant. The duration of the blocking phase is therefore shorter than the interval between two control pulses at the stator Input voltage to the output voltage, depends on the transformer inductance and the length of Leitendphase. By the clamping diode 4 at the base of the Troibers 6 ensures that the beginning of Leitendphnse dos transistor switch 1 is delayed at least until the end of demagnetization. As long as the demagnetization current flows, the voltage across the cathode of the demagnetization diode 5 is negative according to the forward voltage, and the positive pulse is diverted via the clamp diode 4. The voltage at the base of the driver 6 is negative because the forward voltage of the demagnetization diode 5 is higher than the dor clamping diode 4 is. This has its cause in that the demagnetization is several times higher than the current via dig clamping diode 4. During the blocking phase of the transistor switch 1, the collector voltage is substantially higher than the input voltage Ue. Din negative voltage at the oasis of the driver 6 passes through the BasisableitwidersWind to the base of the transistor switch 1 and biases them for the critical time of increased collector voltage negative. For the transistor switch 1 and the driver 6, transistors whose open-base voltage susceptibility is lower than the peak voltage appearing at the transistor switch 1 can be used. The transistors are protected against voltage breakdown by the negative voltage at the base.
