Patentschrift stimmt mit der Auslegeschrift überein
Vinylphosphate, wie Di methyl -2-carbomethoxy-1-methylvinylphosphat und Dimethyl-2,2-dichlorvinylphosphat,
sowie verwandte Phosphonate und Phosphinate stellen eine allgemeine Klasse von hochwirksamen Insektiziden dar. Für viele Anwendungen,
beispielsweise in Fangmitteln, Pulvern u. dgl., müssen diese Insektizide in Form von trockenen Zubereitungen
verwendet werden, in denen sie festen Substanzen zugesetzt worden sind. Es konnte jedoch gefunden
werden, daß derartige Insektizidzubereitungen zur Unbeständigkeit neigen. Untersuchungen ergaben,
daß die Unbeständigkeit der Insektizide nicht auf die Natur der Trägersubstanz zurückzuführen ist, sondern
unabhängig von der Trägersubstanz besteht.
Wegen dieser Unbeständigkeit ist der Nutzen dieser Insektizide beschränkt, und man muß das Insektizid
im Überschuß verwenden, um einer Zersetzung vor Benützung vorzubeugen, oder die Zubereitung erst
kurz vor Benützung herstellen, was nicht nur kostspieliger ist, sondern auch vom Hersteller die Anwendung
bestimmter Verfahren verlangt, für die er gewöhnlich nicht ausgerüstet ist.
Es konnte festgestellt werden, daß beständige Zubereitungen dieser in feste Substanzen imprägnierten
Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel erhalten werden, wenn eine geringe Menge bestimmter phenolischer Stabilisatoren
mit der Zubereitung vermischt wird, wobei das Vorhandensein dieser Stabilisatoren die insektiziden
Eigenschaften der Zubereitungen nicht nachteilig beeinflußt. Hierdurch wird die Lebensdauer der
Mittel so erhöht, daß nicht verbrauchte Mittel im folgenden Jahr erneut Anwendung finden können.
Phenolische Stabilisatoren für insektizide Thiophosphorsäureester sind zwar aus der USA.-Patentschrift
2 967 127 bekannt, wobei die als Antioxydantien bekannten sterisch gehinderten Phenole, wie
2,6-Di-tert.-butyl-p-kresol oder Hydrochinone zusammen mit nichtflüssigen Polyäthylenglykolen als
Blockierungsmittel für die aktiven Zentren von als Trägersubstanzen verwendeten Tonen verwendet
werden. Es ist dieser Patentschrift zu entnehmen, daß das Antioxydans an sich gar nicht stabilisierend wirkt,
sondern die Stabilisierung durch Ausschalten der Aktivität des Trägermaterials erfolgt.
überraschenderweise wirken bei Vinylphosphaten die erfindungsgemäß als Stabilisatoren eingesetzten
Phenole unabhängig vom Trägermaterial.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist die Verwendung von 2,6-Di-tert.-butyl-4-methylphenol, «- oder /^-Naphthol,
Phenol, Hydrochinon oder 2,2'-Bis-(p-hydroxyphenyl)-propan in Mengen von 0,01 bis 20%. bezogen
auf das Gewicht von festen Zubereitungen von Verwendung phenolischer Stabilisatoren
für Vinylphosphate enthaltende Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel

oder eine halogensubstituierte Phenylgruppe, R2 ein Wasserstoff- oder Halogenatom und R3 ein
Halogenatom oder eine Gruppe — COOR4, worin R4 eine, Kohlenwa^serstoffgruppe mit nicht mehr als
Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt, bedeutet.
Stellen R- und R3 Halogenatome dar, so sollen diese vorzugsweise Brom oder Chlor sein. Der Rest
R4 kann von aliphatischen cycloaliphatischer, aromatischer oder gemischter Struktur sein. Ist R4 ein aliphatischer
Kohlenwasserstoff, so kann er eine geradkettige oder kettenverzweigte Konfiguration aufweisen.
Zu bevorzugten organischen Resten gehören beispielsweise Alkyl-, Cycloalkyl-, Aryl-, Alkylaryl-

und ähnliche Reste, z. B. die Methyl-, Äthyl-, n- und Isopropylgruppe, die verschiedenen isomeren Butyl-,
Hexyl- und ähnliche Alkylgruppen; die Cyclopentyl-, Cyclohexyl- und ähnliche Cycloalkylgruppen; die
Phenylgruppe; die Naphthylgruppe; die Benzyl-, Phenäthyl-, p-Methylbenzyl- und ähnliche Arylalkylgruppen;
die isomeren Tolylgrüppen, die isomeren Xylylgruppen, die Äthylphenylgruppe, die
2,4-Dimethyl- und 3,5-Dimethylphenyl- und ähnliche Alkylarylgruppen u. dgl.

4° Zubereitung dieser und ahnlicher Insektizide auf
festen Trägersubstanzen wird durch die Phenole stabilisiert. Die Antioxydationsmittel wirkung ist jedoch
für die Verwendbarkeit eines Phenols als erfintlung.sgcmiil.ier Stabilisator nicht wesentlich, weil
Phenol selbst und //-Naphthol, die nicht als Antioxydantien anzusehen sind, durchaus erfindungsgemäße
Stabilisatoren sind.
Als Trägersubstanzen kommen unter anderem die verschiedenen Tone einschließlich Atlapulgittonen s0
und Montmorillonittonen, weiterhin Schwefelblume, Getreidestärke, Calciumcarbonat, zermahlene Getreidekolben,
Perlit, Kieselerde, Kaolintone, Pyrophyllit, Talkum, Sand, gemahlener Granit, Zucker
und Diatomeenerden, Vermiculite, synthetische (alciumsilikate, Gesteinskies, Steinmehl, Leim, Gips,
gepulverte Kohle, d.h. Holzkohle u. dgl.. Zucker oder ähnliche feste Substanzen, die wertvolle Fangmitlei
sind, organische Faserstoffe, wie gemahlene Getreidekolben, Bagasse, zerkleinerte oder gemahlene
Nußschalen od. dgl., in Frage.
Die Montmorillonittone sind wegen ihrer besonderen Eigenschaften bevorzugte Trägersubstanzen, die
im Zusammenhang mit den der Formel entsprechenden Insektiziden verwendet werden können. Sand, («,
Zucker, Pyrophyllite und Talkum sind bevorzugte Träger für die Vinylphosphorsäureester mit einer
Gruppe — COOR-1.
Es genügt in den meisten Fällen eine Menge von ungefähr 0,1 bis 10 Gewichtsprozent Stabilisator,
bezogen auf das Gewicht der Zubereitung aus dem Insektizid und der Trägersubstanz.
Dies bedeutet jedoch nicht, daß nicht doch in einigen Fällen eine größere oder geringere Menge
Stabilisator mit Vorteil verwendet werden kann. In den allermeisten Fällen wird eine Menge von mindestens
0,01 Gewichtsprozent Stabilisator erforderlich sein und in nur seltenen Fällen mehr als 20 Gewichtsprozent
einen ausreichend zusätzlichen Vorteil bieten, der eine solche Menge wünschenswert erscheinen läßt.
Der Phenolstabilisator kann auf beliebige Weise in die Zubereitung eingearbeitet werden, vorausgesetzt,
daß er in engen Kontakt mit dem darin enthaltenen Insektizid gebracht wird. Das Phenol kann im Insektizid
aufgelöst werden, oder umgekehrt, je nachdem, welche relative Konzentration und Löslichkeit der
beiden Substanzen vorliegt. Umgekehrt kann, wenn der physikalische Zustand des Phenols dies gestattet,
dasselbe einfach innig mit der bereits gebildeten Mischung aus Trägersubstanz und Insektizid vermischt
werden. Das Phenol, gegebenenfalls zusammen mit dem Insektizid, kann in einem geeigneten Lösungsmittel
aufgelöst werden und die Lösung dann mit der Trägersubstanz oder dem Gemisch aus Trägersubstanz
und Insektizid vermischt werden. Anschließend kann das Lösungsmittel vollständig oder teilweise
entfernt werden. In einigen Fällen kann es wünschenswert sein, das Lösungsmittel in der Zubereitung zu
lassen.
Im übrigen werden die Zubereitungen nach bekannten Verfahren in Form eines Pulvers, von Granulen,
von benetzbaren Pulvern oder in anderer zweckentsprechender Form hergestellt und können
andere Substanzen enthalten, die ihr die notwendigen physikalischen Eigenschaften verleihen, etwa Klebemittel,
Fmulsionsbildner, Dispergier- und Netzmittel, Düngemittel, andere Insektizide, andere Bioeide, beispielsweise
Fungicide od. ä., die ihr auf bekannte Weise zugesetzt werden können. In geeigneter Weise
kann eine zum Stand der Technik gehörende Substanz verwendet werden mit dem Ziel, der endgültig
anfallenden Zubereitung gewünschte Eigenschaften zu verleihen. Als Klebemittel können Casein, Gelatine,
Cellulosederivate, wie Carboxymethylcellulose, Sulfitablauge, ein Gummi, ein in Wasser dispergierbares
synthetisches Harz, Mineralöl, oder äquivalente Klebstoffe, die zum Stand der Technik gehören, verwendet
werden.
Als Netz- und Dispergiermittel kommen die verschiedenen natürlich vorkommenden oder synthetischen
oberflächenaktiven Substanzen, wie Seifen, Saponine, Lecithine, Salze von Fettsäuren, langkettige
Alkohole, sulfonierte aliphatische und/oder aromatische KohlenwasserstolFderivate, Hydroxyester,
wie Sorbitanmonolaurat, Pinienöl u. dgl., in Frage.
Andere verwendbare anorganische oder organische insektizide Mittel natürlicher oder synthetischer Herkunft
sind z. B. Schwefel, Kupfcrarscnat, Pyrethrum, Allethrin, Dinitrocresol, HFTP, Malathion DDT und
Lindan.
Geeignete Düngemittel sind Ammoniumsulfat, Harnstoffe, Ammoniiimphosphat, Kaliumnitrat 11. ä.
Die Konzentration des Insektizids in der fertigen Zubereitung kann in weiten Grenzen schwanken, was
von dem bestimmten Anwendungszweck der Zube-

reitung abhängt- So kann die Insektizidkonzentration nur 0,1 Gewichtsprozent der Zubereitung betragen,
oder sie kann auch 50% und noch mehr bei Konzentraten betragen. Eine gekörnte Zubereitung enthält
gewöhnlich ungefähr 2 bis 35 Gewichtsprozent Insektizid. Diese Art von Zubereitung wird gewöhnlich in
der Landwirtschaft als solche verwendet, ohne vorher mit einem inerten Träger verdünnt zu werden.
Eine Zubereitung in Pulverform enthält gewöhnlich ungefähr 0,25 bis 75 Gewichtsprozent Insektizid,
Konzentrate ungefähr 10 bis 50% im Pulver verteiltes Insektizid. Ein solches Konzentrat wird später auf
eine Insektizidkonzentration von ungefähr 0,25 bis ungefähr 50% verdünnt, was in Abhängigkeit von
dem gewünschten Verwendungszweck und der Toxizität der Substanz steht.
Als benetzbare Pulver, deren Insektizidgehalt dem der Pulverkonzentrate entspricht, werden sie vorwiegend
durch Dispergieren in Wasser verdünnt.

Dimethyl-2,2-dichlorvinylphosphat wurde zuerst mit gepulvertem Zucker als Fangmittel für Hausfliegen
zubereitet. Die Insektizidkonzentration der Zubereitung betrug 1 Gewichtsprozent. In einer Zubereitung
wurde kein Stabilisator zugesetzt.
Zwei andere Zubereitungen enthielten 2 Gewichtsprozent Phenolstabilisator. Die Menge des übrigbleibenden
Insektizids wurde analytisch bestimmt, nachdem die Zubereitungen zwei Wochen lang auf
einer Temperatur von 55° C gehalten worden waren. Dabei wurden die folgenden Ergebnisse erhalten:
Ohne Stabilisator
90% des Insektizids wurden zersetzt. 2,6-Di-tert.-butyl-4-methylphenol als Stabilisator
10% des Insektizids wurden zersetzt. /i-Naphthol als Stabilisator
5% des Insektizids wurden zersetzt.
Unter Verwendung eines Gemisches aus Sand und granuliertem Zucker als feste Trägersubstanz wurden
weitere Zubereitungen hergestellt. Hierbei betrug die Insektizidkonzentration 0,5 Gewichtsprozent der Zubereitung.
In den Fällen, in denen ein Stabilisator verwendet wurde, betrug dessen Konzentration 1 Gewichtsprozent
der Zubereitung. Die Menge an übriggebliebenem Insektizid wurde analytisch bestimmt,
nachdem die Zubereitung zwei Wochen lang auf einer Temperatur von 55 C aufbewahrt worden war. Dabei
wurden die folgenden Ergebnisse erhalten:

60% des Insektizids wurden zersetzt. 2,6-Di-tert.-butyl-4-methylphenyl als Stabilisator
7% des Insektizids wurden zersetzt. /^-Naphthol als Stabilisator
4% des Insektizids wurden zersetzt.
Mit anderen Zubereitungen in der gleichen Weise erhaltene Ergebnisse sind in der folgenden Tabelle
wiedergegeben.

Wie diese Ergebnisse /eigen, schützt eine geringe Menge von l'hcnolstabilisator überraschenderweise
besser gegen den Abbau des Insektenvertilgungemit-
IcIs, wenn dieses in Kontakt mit den genannten
Trflgersuhstanwn steht. Werden nömlteh andere wie die vorhin beschriebenen Trügersubstunzen in den
Insektizidzubereitungen verwendet, so werden ähnliche Ergebnisse erhalten.
In einer weiteren Versuchsreihe wurden Granulate aus verschiedenen erfindungsgemäß zu stabilisierenden
Insektiziden mit Attapulgitton und Phenol hergestellt. Die Granulate hatten eine Korngröße zwischen
0,5 und 0,25 mm. Sie wurden bei 55 bzw. 38 C aufbewahrt und nach bestimmten Zeitabständen die
prozentuale Zersetzung der aktiven -Substanz bestimmt. Zum Vergleich wurden Granulate ohne
Phenolzusatz untersucht. Die Resultate sind in der folgenden Tabelle aufgeführt, wobei die Buchstaben
folgende insektizide Verbindungen bedeuten:
Diäthyl-2-chlorvinylphosphat,
Diäthyl-l-(2,4-dichlorphenyl)-2-chlorvinyl-
phosphat.
Dimethyl-l-(2,4,5-trichlorphenyl)-2-chlorvinylphosphat,
Diäthyl-l-(2,4,5-trichlorphenyl)-2-chlorvinylphosphat,
Dimethyl-1 -methyl-2-(d-methylbenzyloxycarbonyl)-vinylphosphat
Die Zusammensetzungen mit E wurden als Staub untersucht.

Um zu zeigen, daß die erfindungsgemäß zu stabilisierenden Insektizide durch Phenole auch unabhängig
vom Trägermaterial stabilisiert werden, wurde 2,2-Dichlorvinyl-dimethylphosphat im Molverhältnis 1 : 0.5
mit Wasser gemischt (Gewichtsverhältnis 96,1 : 3,9) und diese Mischung sowie Mischungen, die zusatzlieh
noch 1 Mol Phenol oder noch 1 Mol Nonylphenol pro Mol Phosphorsäureester enthielten, in
verschlossenen Flaschen bei 541C aufbewahrt. Nach jeweils 23, 90 und 138 Stunden wurden die Gemische
auf ihren Gehalt an 2,2-Dichlorvinyl-dimethylphosphat untersucht. Die Ergebnisse zeigt die folgende
Tabelle:

Um den Einfluß der Menge des Trägermaterials auf die Stabilisierung der erfindungsgemäßen Insektizide
zu zeigen, wurden Mischungen von Tonstaub hergestellt, die 14,1 Gewichtsprozent und 2 Gewichtsprozent
2-Carbomethoxy-l-methylvinyl-dimethylphosphat sowie in beiden Fällen Phenol im Molverhältnis
1 : 1 gegenüber Phosdrin enthielten. Nach einer Aufbewahrungszeit von 2 Wochen bei 54 C
wurde nur eine Zersetzungsrate von 6 bzw. 8% gemessen. Ungeachtet des großen Unterschieds in der
Menge des Trägermaterials und des Phenols wurden also etwa die gleichen Zersetzungsraten gefunden,
womit eine Trägerdesaktivierung als Ursache für die Stabilisatorwirkung ausgeschlossen werden kann.
Claims (1)
- Patentanspruch:Verwendung von 2,6-Di-tert.-butyl-4-methylphenol, a- oder ß-Naphthol, Phenol, Hydrochinon oder 2,2'-Bis-(p-hydroxyphenyl)-propan in Mengen von 0,01 bis 20%, bezogen auf das Gewicht der Zubereitung, zur Stabilisierung von festen Zubereitungen von Schädlingsbekämpfungsmit-9 10teln, welche als Wirkstoff einen Vinylphosphor- Phenylgruppe, R2 ein Wasserstoff- oder Halogensäureester der allgemeinen Formel atom und R3 ein Halogenatom oder eine Gruppe Q Ri R2 — COOR1, worin R4 eine Kohlenwasserstoff-ROx ν ι gruppe mit nicht mehr als 10 Kohlenstoffatomen ρ Q c== C R3 5 darstellt, bedeutet.RO In Betracht gezogene Druckschriften:enthalten, worin R eine Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis USA.-Patentschrift Nr. 2 967 127;4 Kohlenstoffatomen, R' ein Wasserstoffatom, Nachrichten aus Chemie und Technik, 1958, Bd. 6,eine Methylgruppe oder eine halogensubstituierte io Nr. 11, S. 165.Mi) 620/574 9.
