B. bei der Verwendung von Holz und/oder holzähnlichen Produk ten, in einem Vergaser bei einem unterstöchiometrischen Be trieb mit Luft in dem Temperaturbereich zwischen etwa 250°C und 650°C ein Schwelprozeß statt, bei dem kohlenwasserstoff haltige Verbindungen, insbesondere Teere freigesetzt werden. Das Schwelgas hat bei diesem Einsatzgut einen nahezu kon stanten Heizwert.
