Description
- Schmiermttelersatz. Die Hauptanforderungen, die an ein Schmiermittel zu stellen sind., das seinen Zweck erfüllen und die Reibung auf das kleinste erreichbare Maß vermindern soll, sind möglichste Flüssigkeit bei größter Schlüpfrigkeit. Daneben muß das Schmiermittel aber auch eine absolute Indifferenz gegen die mit ihm in Berührung kommenden Metallteile besitzen, soll keinen unangenehmen Geruch haben und darf weder unlösliche Beimengungen noch feste Körper gelöst enthalten; es darf ferner nicht erhärten oder eintrocknen, muß gegen Temperaturwechsel möglichst unei:npfindlich sein und außerdem darf es im Gebrauch auch nicht zu teuer sein.
- Es wurde nun gefunden, daß die verhältnismäßig leicht herzustellenden. hydrierten Plienole und ihre Umwandlungspradukte, d. h. das Zvklohexanon und seine Homologen, sowie die Zyklohexanole und ihre Ester, für sich oder im Gemisch mit anderen tierischen, pflanzlichen oder mineralischen Schmiermitteln Produkte darstellen, die allen diesen Anforderungen in vollkommener Weise' entsprechen.
- So besitzt beispielsweise das durch Hydrierung von Reinphenol erhaltene Zyklohexanol eine Viskosität von 3,5 Englergraden, ein spei. Gewicht von 0,945 und einen Siedepunkt von etwa 16o°. Es ist harz- und säurefrei und vermischt sich ohne weiteres finit Fetten, fetten ölen, 1fineralölen, Kohlenwasser-Stoffen tt. dgl. Besonders in der Mischung mit anderen viskosen ölen kann es zur Schmierung feiner Werkzeugmaschinen, Nähmaschinen, Uhren, Präzisionsapparaten us-w. benutzt werden. Vermischt mit hochmolekularen Fetten, Wachsen u. dgl. kann es aber auch zur Herstellung konsistenter Maschinenfette und in Verbindung mit Seifen, Türkischrotölen o. dgl. als Bohröl oder Bohrfett Verwendung finden.
- Beispielsweise erhält man ein gutes konsistentes Maschinenfett, wenn man Zoo Teile Zyklohexanol, 5o Teile Rüböl, 7o Teile Leinöl und 25 Teile Kalk in der an sich bekannten Weise verarbeitet, ein gutes Bohröl, wenn man i6o Gewichtsteile Zyklohexanol, an dessen Stelle auch die übrigen obengenannten Verbindungen verwandt werden können, 3o Gewichtsteile eines hochsiedenden Kohlenwasserstoffes und 25- Gewichtsteile Olein mit Natronlauge von 32° Be oder einer wässerigen Ammoniaklösung vom spez. Gew. o,gio neutralisiert.

- PATENTANSPRUCH: Schmiermittelersatz, bestehend aus hydrierten Phenolen oder ihren Umwandlungsprodukten,wie z. B.dem Zyklohexanon und seinen Homologen sowie den Zyklohexanolen und ihren Estern, denen andere bekannte Schmiermittel zugesetzt sein können.
