PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.

KLASSE 37: Hochbauwesen.CLASS 37: Building construction.

Neuerung an Falzziegeln.Innovation in interlocking tiles.

In the previously common roof tile constructions, each tile was made from his own the neighboring one held only on one side, so a windstaff could easily lift off of a part of the roofing, event, even just a single or the latest Effect brick row.

The present invention aims to produce a roof covering with bricks BEZW. the production of such a roof tile shape, such that two adjacent roof tiles exert a mutually restraining effect on one another, so that a wind only those can affect the entire area of the roof, but not a single roof tile.

This happens because the usual overlapping nose is shaped somewhat differently and on the second side of the roof tile, on top of a bead corresponding to the newly formed nose, another into the adjacent brick engaging approach is arranged.

In the accompanying drawing, FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 show a roof covering with such tiles in a front view, side view and cross section, while FIG. 4 shows a longitudinal section through the roof covering and FIG. 5 shows a cross section of two adjacent roof tiles. Each of these roof tiles A has the designed overlapping nose B on one side and a small continuation C of the main plate of the tile on the lower edge. On the other hand, the brick has a bead D and an approach E, which BEZW the approach C on the other side. of the neighboring brick can get under. As usual, the nose B and also the bead D are not arranged along the whole length, but only on a part of the tile, in order to gain space for the next higher row of tiles to be well supported. When two bricks are put together, the second brick is placed in a somewhat inclined position so that the outermost tip of the attachment C passes before the outermost tip of the attachment E and the tip of the nose B can slide down along the edge of the bulge D. If the two bricks are now pushed into one another in an inclined position, a small turn is sufficient to bring them tightly together at the lower parts CE, as can be seen from FIG. 5. The space between the bead D and the nose B is closed by the nose of the next lower layer. Due to the peculiar and elongated shape of the nose, a fixing of the adjacent brick is effected in connection with the bead D on the second side of the brick, while by the lug E of the one and the neck C of the second tile, a cooperation of the nose B to secure the fixed position of the entire roof covering when the wind acts on the second tile A 1 is established. It is therefore not possible with this that by the action of the wind on any brick only this one

kung unterliegt; im Gegentheil überträgt derselbe diese Einwirkung sowohl auf seinen rechts benachbarten, als auch auf seinen links benachbarten Ziegel, und wird dadurch, dafs diese Nachbarziegel diese Einwirkung wieder weiter übertragen, die ganze Dachdeckung gleichzeitig mit in Mitleidenschaft gezogen und die Sicherheit derselben gegen ein Abheben durch den Wind noch erhöht.is subject to; on the contrary, he transfers this influence both to his own on the adjacent tile on the right, as well as on its adjacent tile on the left, and is thereby, thatfs these neighboring tiles transmit this effect again, the entire roof covering at the same time affected and the security of the same against taking off increased by the wind.
