Abstract
The piezoelectric alarm generator (17) has a vibrating plate (35), a piezoelectric plate (37) attached to the vibrating plate and a divided electrode plate (38) partly covering the piezoelectric plate, whereby mechanical vibrations can be stimulated by applying a suitable alternating voltage between the plates. A microphone sub-panel (50) arranged the side of the electrode plate detects oscillations of the vibrating plate from deformations of the piezoelectric plate and feeds oscillation signals to a reporting circuit (20), which signals operation of the alarm generator.
