Description
Process for the production of ceramic fittings Ceramic fittings, z. B. insulating parts for low voltage, are very often after the dry pressing process manufactured. Certain types of stone or talc are suitable for processing more or less depending on their structure. If now, e.g. B. talc chlorite slate, clay slate or mica slate, formed by dry pressing as particularly cheap raw materials are to be, it turns out that at the high pressures, such as the dry pressing requires cracking, so-called shearing, to occur perpendicular to the printing direction. This phenomenon is avoided according to the invention when the ceramic dry molding compound about r to zo0% certain substances of a fibrous character are added and that Mixture is then ground. It is known to use micaceous masses with asbestos flour to mix and to compress them with a low-melting binder under pressure, whereby mica and asbestos are retained in their mineral character. they kick with each other as well as with the flux in no noteworthy chemical Reaction. It is also known to use refractory articles, such as e.g. B. furnace stones, with to compress fibrous natural substances such as asbestos. According to the present invention but should be the splitting of pressed fittings made of heavily slagged raw materials can be prevented by the addition of fibers. Such fibers lie randomly distributed in the mass and give a pressed body a sufficient dry strength, the one without this addition by the strongly preferred parallel direction of the individual Split slate or mica slate leaves and fall apart would. Dry compacts that contain a lot of mica slate can be dispensed with No addition of asbestos, brucite or organic fibers such as cellulose at all to process. To avoid unnecessary pore formation due to pulp burning out, however, inorganic fibers are preferable. These substances are not the basic mass alien and participate in the reaction during the ceramic fire of the body.
Beispielsweise seien folgende Versätze angegeben: r. 6;5 °% Ton- oder Glimmerschiefer, 30% Talkchloritschiefer, 5 % Asbest oder Brucit. z. 75 % Tonschiefer, 2i % Talkchloritschiefer, 4 0/, Zellstoffaser. For example, the following offsets are given: r. 6; 5% clay or Mica slate, 30% talc chlorite slate, 5% asbestos or brucite. z. 75% slate, 2% talc chlorite slate, 40%, cellulose fiber.
