Description
KAISERLICHES
PATENTAMT.
Es ist gefunden worden, dafs das Dihydrobenzyldimethylamin durch Behandlung mit
Salzsäure in Hydrochlordihydrobenzyldimethylamin übergeht.
C6 H1 - CH2 ■ N (CHJ2 + HCl
= C1H10CI-N0n.
Letzteres geht beim Erwärmen in das Chlormethylat des Tropidins über.

Dieses zerfällt beim stärkeren Erhitzen in Chlormethyl und Tropidin.

Das Tropidin giebt beim Kochen mit Natronlauge Tropin.
Das Dihydrobenzyldimethylamin,
C6H1-CH2-N(CHJ2,
C6H1-CH2-N(CHJ2,
welches aus Tropidin gewonnen werden kann (Ber. d. d. ehem. Ges. 1891, S. 3118), stellt ein
dünnflüssiges OeI dar, das nicht unverändert destillirt; es verwandelt sich beim Erwärmen
auf 140 bis 1500 in eine isomere Base:
ß-Methyltropidin.
Zur Ueberführung des Dihydrobenzyldimethylamins in Hydrochlorbenzyldimethylamin
verfahren wir wie folgt:
ι kg Base wird in 1 1 Wasser vertheilt 'und
in die mit Eis gekühlte Flüssigkeit Salzsäure bis zur Sättigung eingeleitet. Nach eintägigem
Stehen giefst man die Lösung in Eiswasser und scheidet die Hydrochlorbase mit Natronlauge
ab als dünnes, farbloses OeI, das man auf dem Wasserbad erhitzt. Der so gebildete
zähe Syrup repräsentirt das Chlormethylat des Tropidins. Durch stärkeres Erhitzen zerfällt
dasselbe glatt in Chlormethyl und Tropidin. Kocht man letzteres mit verdünnter Natronlauge
am Rückflufskühler einige Stunden, so verschwindet das Tropidin und geht in Tropin
über, das mit Chloroform der alkalischen Lösung entzogen werden kann. ,
Das so gewonnene Tropin wird in bekannter Weise in Atropin und analoge Körper
übergeführt.
Claims (1)
- Patent-Anspruch :Verfahren zur Darstellung von Tropin, darin bestehend, dafs man Dihydrobenzyldimethylamin mit Salzsäure in Hydrochlordihydrobenzyldimethylamin und dieses durch Erhitzen zunächst in Tropidinchlormethylat und weiter in Tropidin verwandelt, sodann das Tropidin durch Erhitzen mit Aetzalkalien in Tropin überführt.
