The invention relates to a floor mat for wet rooms, in particular for showers in do.contamination systems.

For decontamination, showers often have to be set up quickly under difficult conditions, so that the individual parts of such showers must be easy to transport on the one hand and be able to be set up quickly on the other.

The invention therefore has the aim of creating a floor mat for wet rooms, in particular for showers in decontamination plants, which corresponds to the specified conditions, ie is easy to transport and lay.

This is achieved primarily by the fact that the mat consists of individual, essentially rectangular elements, which have slanted strips that protrude beyond the rectangular shape on two sides and opposite slanted strips that border the rectangle on the other two sides. The elements of such a mat are stackable and therefore space-saving to transport and they can be connected to one another simply by placing them next to one another in such a way that adjacent slanted strips overlap one another. This creates a closed floor mat.

A secure hold on the ground is achieved if the strips that protrude beyond the rectangular shape are parts of roof-shaped profiles whose lower edges rest on the ground.

In order to be able to drain the shower water, the elements, which are preferably made of a deep-drawn plastic, have drainage openings on recessed parts. The upper surface of the raised parts is advantageously provided with knobs to reduce the risk of slipping.

The invention is described in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawings. Fig. 1 shows a top view of an element of a floor mat according to the invention and Fig. 2 shows the section along the line A, B in Fig. 1, with the connection of a second element being indicated on one side.

From Fig.1 it can be seen that the element 1 essentially has a rectangular shape, the edges of the rectangle being formed by strips 2 that are bent diagonally downwards. On two sides of the rectangle, strips 3 project beyond the rectangular shape and are directed diagonally downwards, which are parts of a roof-shaped profile 4, the two lower edges 5 of which rest on the ground.

From Fig.2 it is clear that a connection of the individual elements can be made simply by placing a strip 2 of an element T directed diagonally downwards over the adjacent roof-shaped profile 4.

The shape and the specified sizes of the elements can be varied within the scope of the invention. However, a height of 50 mm should not be significantly undercut, otherwise the capacity of the recesses 6 will be too small.

Protection claims: 1.
