Der künstliche Zahn (Fig. 3 bis 5) besteht aus dem Porcellankörper A mit der Höhlung 10, der abgesetzten Fläche io^a, auf welcher die beiden Stifte io^b befestigt sind. Ueber diese Stifte pafst eine Platte B, die einen aufrechtstehenden Stift 11^a trägt, welcher, wenn die Platte an A anliegt, in die Mitte der Höhlung 10 zu stehen kommt. In diese Höhlung und über den Stift ii^a pafst ein Körper D (Fig. 4) mit der Durchbohrung 15. Ueber das Ganze pafst ein mit einem Ansatz 13 versehenes Band 12 (Fig. 4 und 5). Letzteres hat die Form wie der abgebrochene Zahn, wird also in jedem einzelnen Falle dem abgebrochenen Zahn entsprechend angefertigt. Aus dem Schnitt (Fig. 2) ist am besten der Zusammenhang der einzelnen Theile erkennbar. Das Stück D der Fig. 4 kann auch die in Fig. 6 dargestellte Form erhalten.
