Abstract

The wet circuit for a paper-making press comprises a press felt (1), and a centrifugal device (4) giving the press felt (1) a highly curved trajectory causing the ejection of water by centrifugation. The press felt (1) consists of a canvas sheet with a thick upper water-absorbent layer. The bottom layer of the press felt (1) in contact with the centrifugal device (4) is impermeable.
