Abstract

In a transport trolley, which can be pushed into an identically designed transport trolley and which is equipped with an appropriate device in the form of a supporting surface or a basket for receiving products or transport material, depending on the particular embodiment handle-supporting arms made approximately U-shaped at the free end or handle-supporting tubes of oval or circular cross-section are firmly attached to the rear end of this device; between the handle-supporting arms or tubes is mounted a generally tubular handle, in the region of which is arranged a coin-deposit lock which is equipped with a corresponding coupling device, so that a mutual coupling and uncoupling of transport trolleys relative to one another or to or from a collecting point becomes possible. In the design according to the invention of such a transport trolley, one of its handle-supporting arms or one of the handle-supporting tubes is made shorter, and the coin-deposit lock is fastened to the shorter handle-supporting arm or tube in such a way that it is so integrated in the transport trolley in a space-saving way that the outer dimensions of the latter correspond virtually to those of hitherto conventional transport trolleys precisely in the region of one of the two handle-supporting arms or tubes. Consequently, as a result of the design and arrangement of the coin-deposit lock, the handle provided between the two handle-supporting arms or tubes is available to the same extent as on the transport trolleys used hitherto.
