Abstract

A cutting device with a saw blade (4, 44) has a cutting shaft (2, 38) to which the saw blade (4, 44) is attached by means of clamping flanges (6, 8, 46, 46') and clamping nuts (48, 48'). The cutting shaft (2, 38) has an axial bore (14, 26, 62, 64, 66, 68) connected to a device (30, 54) for the coolant feed and intended for feeding coolant to the saw blade (4, 44), in which arrangement radial bores (16) formed in the cutting shaft (2, 38) connect the axial bore (14, 26, 62, 64, 66, 68) to radial grooves (18, 20), open towards the saw blade (4, 44), of the clamping flanges (6, 8, 46, 46'). In order to simplify the feed of coolant to the axial coolant bore (14, 26, 62, 64, 66, 68) of the cutting shaft (2, 38) and to dispense with elaborate sealing measures, a fixed, tubular component (28, 70) engages in the axial bore (14, 26, 62, 64, 66, 68) of the cutting shaft (2, 38). The tubular component (28, 70) has an axial bore (33, 72) whose outside diameter is smaller than the inside diameter of the axial bore (14, 26, 62, 64, 66, 68) of the cutting shaft (2, 38) for forming an annular gap (32) between the cutting-shaft bore (14, 26, 62, 64, 66, 68) and the tubular component (28, 70), and a coolant-inflow line is connected to the tubular component (28, 70). <IMAGE>
