Abstract

A readymade lawn (10) with a layer (12) consisting of earth (14), substrates (16) and the like, whereby grass seeds are placed therein. The invention is characterised in that separate reinforcing elements (22) are introduced into said layer (12) and distributed therein (12) in a discrete manner. The reinforcing elements (22) are fibrous elements (22) that are 2-10 cm long and 1-10 mm thick. Said fibrous elements (22) are made of a raw vegetable material and are fully degradable over a period of 3-36 months as a result of natural decomposition processes occurring inside said layer (12).
