Abstract

Roof element 1 comprising parallel base battens 3 arranged at an interval from another, to which roof tile laths 2 are fixed, which lie transversely to the base battens 3. A roof material 4, such as roof tiles, cast concrete tiles, plastic sheets, roofing felt, metal sheets or timber elements 4 are fixed to the roof tile laths 2 in a series of overlapping columns. A first roof tile lath 2 at one end of the first element 1 is fitted with a part of its width over the end of the base batten 3. A second roof tile lath 2' at the opposite end of a second element 1' is fitted slightly inside the end of the base batten 3'. The roofing material elements 4 overlap the first roof tile lath 2 and the base batten 3 in the roofing element 1, so that the second roof tile lath 2' will lie against the roof tile lath 2 in the adjoining element 1. The roof tile lath 2 fits in between the ends of the base battens 3 and the roofing material elements 4. <IMAGE>
