Opfindelsen angår et jernbanekøretøj med en bogie med mindst to luftkølede elektriske drivmotorer, der er koblet til bogiens aksler.
I motorvogne er et antal bogier forsynet med drivmotorer.
5 I reglen er hvert hjulpars aksel over et tandhjulsgear sammen koblet med en elektrisk drivmotor. For at der indenfor et begrænset motorvolumen skal kunne udtages en stor effekt, er drivmotorerne sædvanligvis ventilatorkølede og forsynes med hver sin køleluftventilator og køleluftkanal. Pladsen til køleluft-10 kanaler er begrænset, og fremføringen af kanalerne kan medføre problemer. Hvis køling af motorerne udebliver, medfører dette hurtig overhedning, hvorfor motoren ikke kan anvendes, hvis en køleventilator havarerer.
Jernbanekøretøjet ifølge opfindelsen er ejendommeligt ved, 15 at drivmotorerne er sluttet til en fælles køleluftkanal, at køleluftkanalen tilføres køleluft fra to parallelt arbejdende og separatdrevne ventilatorer, og at der mellem den fælles køleluftkanal og separate køleluftindtag til de forskellige ventilatorer findes ventilorganer, som hindrer køleluft i at 20 strømme fra den fælles køleluftkanal,gennem en stillestående ventilator og ud gennem dennes køleluftindtag. Herved afhjælpes de i det foregående omtalte vanskeligheder, idet den fælles køleluftkanal kan udformes således, at den kun fylder lidt, og opfindelsen gør det muligt at udtage en begrænset, men tsods 25 alt væsentlig effekt fra drivmotorerne selv ved et ventilatoreller ventilationsmotorhavari,og derved kører motorvognstoget med begrænset hastighed. Mere end 50% af normaleffekt kan udtages, hvilket indebærer, at hastighedsbegrænsende effektmangel kun fremkommer ved acceleration og ved banepartier med 30 stærk stigning. Paralleldriften af køleluftventilatorerne indebærer således, at driftssikkerheden af et motorvognstog stiger, og den forhindrer, at et havari af en lille, men i og for sig vigtig komponent medfører kostbare og for jernbanedriften besværende og Irriterende konsekvenser. Selv om den ene af de to 35 parallelt og separat drevne ventilatorer nemlig skulle havarere, vil den anden ventilator føde den fælles kølekanal,og den af denne anden ventilator og til køleluftkanalen leverede køleluft forhindres i at undslippe gennem den havarerede ventilator, 143181 2 takket være de nævnte ventilorganer. Den fælles kølekanal vil endvidere, såfremt en af ventilatorerne havarerer, yde mindre modstand overfor den arbejdende ventilator, hvorved drivmotorerne fødes med mere end den halve af den luftmængde, som de normalt 5 tilføres.
En udførelsesform for jernbanekøretøjet er ifølge opfindelsen ejendommelig ved, at der er anbragt kontraventiler mellem ventilatorerne og den fælles luftkanal. Herved opnås det, at ventilorganerne kommer til at arbejde automatisk, idet ventil-10 organerne automatisk vil blive holdt åbne af de i drift værende ventilatorer, men automatisk vil lukke, hvis en af ventilatorerne havarerer, nemlig som følge af det af den anden ventilator i den fælles køleluftkanal tilvejebragte overtryk. Sådanne kontraventiler kan endvidere fremstilles på særlig simpel måde, 15 f.eks. som kontraventiler af klaptypen med klapper eller lapper af gummi, plast eller tyndt plademateriale, som holdes i åben stilling under køleluftstrømmen, og som automatisk vender tilbage til lukket stilling, når luftstrømmen ophører på grund af, at ventilatoren standser.
20 En yderligere udførelsesform for jernbanekøretøjet er ifølge opfindelsen ejendommelig ved, at køleluftindtagene er anbragt ved vognens øverste del. En sådan anbringelse er fordelagtig, idet luften er mindre forurenet af støv ved vognens øverste del.
Opfindelsen skal herefter forklares nærmere under henvisning 25 til tegningen, som skematisk viser en del af en udførelsesform for jernbanekøretøjet ifølge opfindelsen.
På tegningen betegner 1 en vognkasse til en motorvogn, som bæres af to bogier. Af disse er der kun vist hjulpar 2 med drivmotorer 3 og en kraftoverføring 4 mellem drivmotoren og hjulpar-30 rets aksel 5. Motorerne 3 køles ved hjælp af luft. Denne indtages ved vognkassens gavl 6 ved dennes øverste del gennem luftindtag 7, som er forsynet med vandudskillere og filtre til fjernelse af faste forureninger. Luftindtagene er anbragt ved den øverste del af lodrette kanaler 8. To parallelt arbejdende køleluftventila-35 torer 9 er ved deres sugeside sluttet til disse kanaler og på deres trykside til en under vognkassens gulv anbragt vandret kanal 10. Mellem ventilatorerne og denne kanal findes der kontraventiler 11, som ved ventilatorhavari forhindrer, at luft strømmer fra kanalen 10 tilbage gennem den havarerede ventila-40 tor.
