Opfindelsen angår et kontaktlegeme for vand og luft, eksempelvis til et køletåm, og opbygget af tynde korrugerede plastplader, der er sammenstillet således, at korrugeringeme i to på hinanden følgende 5 plader krydser og ligger punktvis an mod hinanden.
For kontaktlegemer af denne art er det af betydning, at de er så lette som muligt, fordi det apparat, eksempelvis et køletåm eller en gasskrubber, hvori kontaktlegemet indgår, ofte skal monteres på 10 taget af en eksisterende bygning. Korrugeringen af de plader, hvoraf kontaktlegemet er sammensat, medfører i sig selv en styrkeforøgelse, som tillader anvendelse af relativt tynde og dermed lette plader.
Imidlertid er specielt kanterne af de tynde plader 15 udsat for beskadigelse eller uønsket deformation ved håndteringen af de enkelte plader eller af det sammensatte kontaktlegeme under dettes montage samt som følge af stødpåvirkninger fra de store vandmængder, som ledes gennem kontaktlegemet.
20 Med henblik på at afhjælpe denne ulempe be står opfindelsen i, at hver plade har en kantforstærkning, som er dannet alene ved ombukning af pladens kantzone inden korrugeringen.
Tilvejebringelsen af de nævnte kantforstærk-25 ninger på pladerne ved ombukning af pladekanterne før korrugeringen er ikke blot væsentligt enklere end påliraning eller -svejsning af separate forstærkningslister, men medfører først og fremmest den fordel, at der ved korrugeringen opstår en stræk-30 ning af den ombukkede kantzones rygge, som trækker kantzonen fast ind mod den ikke ombukkede hoveddel af pladen. Den korrugerede kantzone fastholdes således i tæt anlæg mod resten af pladen som følge af sine indre spændinger, uden at der foreligger 35 noget behov for yderligere mekanisk fastgørelse til 143473 2 pladens hoveddel. Uden et sådant tæt anlæg i hele kantzonens udstrækning ville der ved pladens underkant kunne opstå åbne lommer/ som under påvirkningen af de gennem kontaktlegemet nedstyrtende vandmasser 5 ville føre til en udbøjning og nedbøjning af forstærkningskanten, hvis virkning derved ville blive illusorisk. Praktiske erfaringer har vist, at de ombukkede og korrugerede kantforstærkninger selv under sådanne voldsomme kraftpåvirkninger bevarer deres op-10 rindelige form i tæt anlæg mod overfladen af hver korrugeret plades hoveddel.
Opfindelsen forklares i det følgende nærmere med henvisning til tegningen, hvorpå fig. 1 viser et udsnit af en plade til et kon-15 taktlegeme ifølge opfindelsen, set i perspektiv, fig. 2 et billede af samme plade yderligere udformet med afløbsspidser, set under en anden synsvinkel, fig. 3a, b og c tværsnit gennem tre udform-20 ninger af pladens kantforstærkninger, fig. 4 i perspektiv et udsnit af et kontaktlegeme opbygget af flere af de viste plader, og fig. 5 et snit efter linien 5-5 i fig. 4.
Fig. 1 viser en plade 10 af plastmateriale 25 udformet med korrugeringer 12 forløbende tværs over pladen under en vinkel i forhold til pladens akse.
Det benyttede plademateriale kan være f.eks. poly-ethylen,· polystyren, polyamin, polyvinylchlorid eller polycarbonat med en tykkelse i området mellem 30 0,13 mm og 0,64 mm. Pladen kan være armeret med asbest eller et andet fibermateriale. Kanterne af den korrugerede plade er udformet med kantforstærkninger 14, som er dannet ved, at pladens to modstående kantzoner er bukket 180° inden dannelsen af korruge-35 ringerne 12, som forløber tværs over pladen under
