BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Known neck locks of this kind are difficult to operate because the pawls of the operation cut into the lock housing rather than sliding.

The object of the invention is to provide a neck lock of the specified type which can be operated without any functional difficulties.

The headlock according to the invention is characterized in that each pawl has a portion parallel to the former portion in contact with the edges of the housing and / or an extension of the former portion in contact with the base of the housing.

It will be seen that this construction achieves easy sliding of the piles.

The neck latch may have a cover plate disposed on the lock housing over the ends of the pawls facing each other. Such a cover plate prevents clogging of the gap between the piles and also serves as a guide for the spring, preventing it from bending or leaping out of the locking housing.

The same can be accomplished by the one pallet having a portion extended over the corresponding portion of the other pallet.

According to the invention, each of the piles may have a folding which serves as a finger grip.
