Claims (16)

1. En lægemiddel leveringsanordning til anvendel se ved den kontrollerede levering af et bestemt lægemiddel eller lægemidler til en bestemt placering i øjet, anordningen omfattende: porøse silicium- eller siliciumdioxidpartikler f mikrometerstørrelse med porer konfigureret og dimensioneret til i det mindste delvist at modtage mindst et lægemiddel deri ; og hvor partiklerne er egnede til at blive leveret ind i eller på øjet.
2. Anordning ifølge krav 1, hvor poremes indre vægge er kovalent modificeret således at bindingseffektiviteten af det mindst ene lægemiddel er forøget og/eller lægemiddelfrigivelsesprofiler af nævnte porer er blevet indstillet.
3. Anordning ifølge krav 2, hvor den kovalente modifikation af de indre vægge er udvalgt blandt gruppen omfattende funktionelle alkener, siliciumoxid, funktionelle or-ganohalider og metaller.
4. Anordning ifølge krav 1, hvor partiklerne er oxideret for at indfange lægemidlet eller lægemidlerne i porerne.
5. Anordning ifølge krav 1, hvor partiklerne er egnede til intraokulær injektion.
6. Anordning ifølge krav 1, hvor nævnte partikler har en monitorerbar optisk kode.
7. Anordning ifølge krav 1, hvor nævnte lægemiddel eller lægemidler omfatter en fra gruppen bestående af angiostatiske steroider, metalloproteinaseinhibitorer, et VEGF-bindende lægemiddel, pigmentepithelium-afledt faktor, et 8-mer peptidfragment af urokinase og dexamethason.
8. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af en anordning til kontrolleret lægemiddellevering til en placering i øjet omfattende: tilvejebringelse af en porøs nanostruktureret siliciumholdig template med porer konfigureret til at modtage et bestemt lægemiddel, opbrydning af templaten i partikler af mikrometerstørrelse, nævnte partikler er dimensioneret og konfigureret til at blive leveret ind i eller på en overflade af øjet; og lastning af enten templaten eller partiklerne af mikrometerstørrelse med lægemidlet,
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 8, hvor partiklerne er egnede til injektion intraokulært.
10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 9, hvor partiklerne har et monitorerbart optisk respons afhængig af mængden af lægemiddel anbragt i porerne.
11. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 9, hvor partiklerne har et monitorerbart optisk respons afhængig af mængden af det tilstedeværende porøse materiale.
12. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 8, yderligere omfattende indfangning af lægemidlet eller lægemidlerne i porerne ved oxidation af den porøse template omkring lægemidlet eller lægemidlerne.
13. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 8, yderligere omfattende kovalent modifikation af poremes indre vægge for at forøge bindingseffektiviteten af det mindst ene lægemiddel og at indstille frigivelsesp.rofi.ler af porerne.
14. En porøs silicon- eller siliciumdioxidpartikel af mikrometerstørrelse med porer konfigureret og dimensioneret til i det mindste delvist at modtage mindst et lægemiddel deri; og hvor partiklen er egnet til at blive leveret ind i eller på øjet.
15. Partikel ifølge krav 14, hvor porernes indre vægge er ko valent modificeret således at bindingseffektiviteten af det mindst ene lægemiddel er forøget og/eller lægemiddelfrigivelsesprofiler af porerne er blevet indstillet.
16. Partikel ifølge krav 14, hvor nævnte lægemiddel er udvalgt blandt gruppen bestående af angiostatiske steroider, metalloproteinaseinhibitorer, et VEGF-bindende lægemiddel, pigmentepithelium-afiedt faktor, et 8-mer peptidfragment af urokinase og dexamethason.
