Abstract

Electrodynamic loudspeaker whose pole piece is provided with short circuit arrangement with small conductor cross section inside the air gap and large conductor cross section outside it. This short circuits induced currents from moving coil 4, so that its impedance is made independent of the position in the air gap. This avoids modulation of the moving coil's current and, thus, distortion. This is achieved without significant loss of efficiency of the loudspeaker. <IMAGE>
