Claims (20)
1. Fremgangsmåde til kogning afen stivelsesholdig sammensætning, hvilken fremgangsmåde omfatter: (a) et første trin, der omfatter blanding af mindst ét stivelsespulver med et vandigt stivelsesholdigt fluidum, der indeholder granuleret stivelse og/eller gelatineret stivelse, idet indholdet af stivelse i det vandige stivelsesholdige fluidum og blandingsforholdet mellem stivelsespulveret og det vandige stivelsesholdige fluidum er således, at det samlede indhold af stivelse i den opnåede blanding bliver større end 45 vægt-%, fortrinsvis mellem 50 og 82 vægt-% og navnlig mellem 52 vægt-% og 75 vægt-%, og idet det første trin udføres ved atmosfærisk tryk under omrøring i et kogekammer, der holdes ved en temperatur, som i det mindste er den samme som den højeste gelatineringstemperatur (TG) for alle de stivelser, der forefindes i blandingen, i et tidsrum på mellem 3 minutter og 2 timer, og (b) et andet trin, der omfatter opvarmning af den i trin (a) opnåede kolloide stivelsesopløsning ved et højere tryk end det atmosfæriske tryk og ved en temperatur på mellem 120 °C og 180 °C, fortrinsvis mellem 140 °C og 180° C, i et tidsrum på mellem 15 sekunder og 30 minutter.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved, at det første trin (trin (a)) udføres ved en temperatur, der i det mindste er 5 °C og fortrinsvis i det mindste 10 °C højere end den højeste gelatineringstemperatur for alle de stivelser, der forefindes i blandingen.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1 eller 2, kendetegnet ved, at det første trin har en varighed på mellem 3 minutter og 2 timer, fortrinsvis mellem 5 minutter og 1 time og navnlig mellem 10 og 30 minutter.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at opvarmningen i trin (b) har en tilstrækkelig varighed til at opnå stivelsesopløsninger, der i det væsentlige er frie for granuleret stivelse.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at opvarmningen i trin (b) har en tilstrækkelig varighed til at opnå stivelsesopløsninger med en Brookfield-viskositet, målt ved 25 °C, på mindre end 6000 centipoise, fortrinsvis mindre end 5000 centipoise og navnlig mindre end 4000 centipoise.
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at opvarmningen i trin (b) har en varighed på mellem 15 sekunder og 30 minutter, fortrinsvis mellem 20 sekunder og 15 minutter og navnlig mellem 30 sekunder og 10 minutter.
7. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at opvarmningen i trin (b) finder sted ved indsprøjtning af vanddamp undertryk i den kolloide stivelsesopløsning, der opnås ved udgangen af trin (a).
8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at det vandige stivelsesholdige fluidum, inden det indføres i kogekammeret som angivet i trin (a), opvarmes til en temperatur på mellem 100 °C og 180 °C.
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at det stivelsespulver, der indføres i kogekammeret som angivet i trin (a), har et fugtighedsindhold på mindre end 50 %, fortrinsvis mellem 3 og 30 % og navnlig mellem 7 og 22 %.
10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at det vandige stivelsesholdige fluidum er en stivelsesmælk med et tørstofindhold på mindre end 52 vægt-%, fortrinsvis mellem 20 og 50 vægt-% og navnlig mellem 30 og 45 vægt-%.
11. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 8, kendetegnet ved, at det vandige stivelsesholdige fluidum er en kolloid stivelsesopløsning med et indhold af stivelse på mindre end 75 vægt-%, fortrinsvis mellem 35 og 70 vægt-% og navnlig mellem 38 og 65 vægt-%.
12. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at stivelsespulveret og stivelsen i det vandige stivelsesholdige fluidum uafhængigt er valgt blandt stivelse fra rodknolde, kornstivelse og stivelse fra bælgplanter, eventuelt modificerede.
13. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at stivelsespulveret og stivelsen i det vandige stivelsesholdige fluidum har den samme oprindelse.
14. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, kendetegnet ved, at en del af den stivelsesopløsning, der opnås ved udgangen af trin (b), recirkuleres til trin (a) for at tjene som vandigt stivelsesholdigt fluidum.
15. Sammensætning af stivelse, som kan opnås ved anvendelse afen fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 14.
16. Sammensætning af stivelse ifølge krav 15, kendetegnet ved, at den har et samlet indhold af stivelse på mindre end 75 vægt-%, fortrinsvis mellem 35 og 70 vægt-% og navnlig mellem 38 og 65 vægt-%.
17. Sammensætning af stivelse ifølge krav 15 eller 16, kendetegnet ved, at den har en Brookfield-viskositet, målt ved 25 °C, på mindre end 6000 centipoise, fortrinsvis mindre end 5000 centipoise og navnlig mindre end 4000 centipoise.
18. Sammensætning af stivelse ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 15 til 17, kendetegnet ved, at den i det væsentlige er fri for granuleret stivelse.
19. Anvendelse af en sammensætning ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 15 til 18 til færdigbehandling af cellulosematerialer, fortrinsvis papir og kartonark, fortrinsvis til fladebearbejdning, pigmenteret fladebearbejdning og coating af førnævnte materialer.
