Claims (9)
1. Sulfatproces til fremstilling af titanoxider af et titanholdigt materiale (såsom et jern- og titanholdigt materiale som ilmenit), der omfatter nedbrydnings- og/eller udvaskningstrin, der danner en procesopløsning omfattende en sur opløsning af titanylsulfat (Ti0S04) og jernsulfat (FeS04) af det faste titanholdige materiale, samt hydrolyse og andre trin, der danner titanforbindelser fra titanylsulfatet i procesopløsningen, og er kendetegnet ved udskillelse af en fast restfase fra procesopløsningen fra nedbrydnings- og/eller udvaskningstrinene; indføring af S02 gas i de udskilte procesopløsninger; føring af procesopløsningen gennem en aktivt kul-søjle; sænkning af koncentrationen af ferriioner i procesopløsningen og frembringelse af syre og tilførsel af syren til andre enhedsoperationer i processen; og indgydning af kvælstof eller luft i procesopløsningen for at fjerne ureageret svovldioxid.
2. Proces ifølge krav 1 omfattende trinene: (a) udvaskning af titanholdigt materiale med en udludningsopløsning indeholdende svovlsyre og dannelse af procesopløsningen, der indbefatter den sure opløsning af titanylsulfat (Ti0S04) og jernsulfat (FeS04), (b) udskillelse af procesopløsningen og en fast restfase fra udvaskningstrinet (a), (c) udfældning af titanylsulfat fra procesopløsningen fra trin (b), (d) udskillelse af det udfældede titanylsulfat og fremstilling af en opløsning indeholdende en opløsning indeholdende titanylsulfat, (e) behandling af det udfældede titanylsulfat og frembringelse af en opløsning indeholdende titanylsulfat, (f) hydrolysering af titanylsulfatet i opløsningen og dannelse af en fast fase, der indeholder hydrerede titanoxider og en væskefase, (g) udskillelse af den faste fase indeholdende hydrerede titanoxider og væskefasen, og (h) kalcinering af den faste fase fra trin (g) og dannelse af titanoxider, og hvori ferriionbehandlingstrinet sænker koncentrationen af ferriioner fra procesopløsningen opstrøms for titanylsulfatudfældningstrinet (c).
3. Proces ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvori ferriionbehandlingstrinet sænker koncentrationen af ferriioner i procesopløsningen til at være mindre end 5 g/l.
4. Proces ifølge krav 2, hvori ferriionbehandlingstrinet sænker koncentrationen af ferriioner i procesopløsningen i en grad, så koncentrationen af jern i titanyIsulfat-opløsningen udledt af det udfældede titanylsulfat (e) er mindre end 5 g/l.
5. Proces ifølge krav 2, hvori ferriionbehandlingstrinet omfatter behandling af procesopløsningen med en eller flere af Ti3+ ioner, S02 gas, H2 gas, Zn støv, Al støv og jern, såsom jernskrot, samt reducering af ferriioner til ferroioner.
6. Proces ifølge krav 1 eller 2 omfattende tilførsel (i) af en del af procesopløsningen, der er blevet behandlet med S02 gas i ferriionbehandlingstrinet (og derfor har lavere ferriionkoncentration) og (ii) procesopløsningen som tilført materiale for ferriionbehandlingstrinet.
7.
