Claims (16)
1. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling afen vandig suspension af dispergeret calciumcarbonat der tilvejebringer forbedrede optiske egenskaber til coatinger fremstillet deraf, hvilken fremgangsmåde omfatter trinnene at: a) tilvejebringe en vandig suspension af dispergeret calciumcarbonat omfattende mindst ét dispergeringsmiddel, hvor den vandige suspension har et fast indhold på mellem 65 og 80 vægtprocent, baseret på totalvægten af den vandige suspension; b) tilvejebringe mindst ét alkalicarbonat og/eller alkalihydrogencarbonat, hvor alkaliionen er valgt fra kalium og/eller natrium; c) fortynde den vandige suspension af dispergeret calciumcarbonat med vand; og d) før og/eller under og/eller efter trin c), bringe den vandige suspension af dispergeret calciumcarbonat i kontakt med mindst ét alkalicarbonat og/eller alkalihydrogencarbonat, hvor det mindst ene alkalicarbonat og/eller alkalihydrogencarbonat tilsættes i en mængde mellem 0,025 vægtprocent og 2 vægtprocent, baseret på tørvægten af calciumcarbonatet i suspensionen fra trin a), hvor den vandige suspension af dispergeret calciumcarbonat efter trin d) har en pH-værdi i området på 7,5 til 12.
2. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, kendetegnet ved at den vandige suspension af dispergeret calciumcarbonat tilvejebragt i trin a) har et faststofindhold på mellem 68 vægtprocent og 78 vægtprocent og mest foretrukket mellem 70 vægtprocent og 78 vægtprocent, baseret på totalvægten af den vandige suspension af dispergeret calciumcarbonat fra trin a).
3. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1 eller 2, kendetegnet ved at det mindst ene alkalicarbonat og/eller alkalihydrogencarbonat er valgt fra gruppen bestående af natriumcarbonat, kaliumcarbonat, natriumhydrogencarbonat, kaliumhydrogen-carbonat eller blandinger deraf.
4. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 3, kendetegnet ved at det mindst ene alkalicarbonat og/eller alkalihydrogencarbonat er natriumcarbonat og/eller kaliumcarbonat.
5. Fremgangsmåden ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 4, kendetegnet ved at det mindst ene alkalicarbonat og/eller alkalihydrogencarbonat tilsættes i en mængde mellem 0,05 vægtprocent og 1 vægtprocent og mest foretrukket mellem 0,1 vægtprocent og 0,5 vægtprocent, baseret på tørvægten af calciumcarbonatet i suspensionen fra trin a).
6. Fremgangsmåden ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 5, kendetegnet ved at den vandige suspension af dispergeret calciumcarbonat først fortyndes (trin c)) og derefter bringes i kontakt med alkalicarbonatet og/eller alkali-hydrogencarbonatet (trin d)).
7. Fremgangsmåden ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 5, kendetegnet ved at den vandige suspension af dispergeret calciumcarbonat simultant fortyndes (trin c)) og bringes i kontakt med det mindst ene alkalicarbonat og/eller alkalihydrogencarbonat (trin d)).
8. Fremgangsmåden ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 5, kendetegnet ved at den vandige suspension af dispergeret calciumcarbonat fortyndes (trin c)) umiddelbart at være bragt i kontakt med det mindst ene alkalicarbonat og/eller alkalihydrogencarbonat (trin d)), fortrinsvis inden for mindre end 45 min efter den komplette tilsætning af det mindst ene alkalicarbonat og/eller alkalihydrogencarbonat.
9. Fremgangsmåden ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 5, kendetegnet ved at den vandige suspension af dispergeret calciumcarbonat fortyndes i én eller flere dele og det mindst ene alkalicarbonat og/eller alkalihydrogencarbonat tilsættes i én eller flere dele.
10. Fremgangsmåden ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 9, kendetegnet ved at den vandige suspension af dispergeret calciumcarbonat omfatter mindst ét dispergeringsmiddel der er valgt fra gruppen bestående af et organisk dispergeringsmiddel, et uorganisk dispergeringsmiddel og blandinger deraf.
11. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 10, kendetegnet ved at det organiske dispergeringsmiddel omfatter en acrylsyrepolymer, en vinylsyrepolymer, en acrylsyre- og/eller en vinylsyrecopolymer og det uorganiske dispergeringsmiddel omfatter mono-, di- og/eller trinatrium-orthophosphat, natrium-tripolyphosphat og/eller natrium-polyphosphat.
12. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 10 eller 11, kendetegnet ved at syrestederne af det mindst ene organiske dispergeringsmiddel er delvist eller fuldstændigt neutraliseret med natrium.
13. Fremgangsmåden ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 12, kendetegnet ved at den vandige suspension af dispergeret calciumcarbonat ifølge trin a) opnås ved koncentration afen vandig suspension af calciumcarbonat.
14. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 13, kendetegnet ved at dispergeringsmidlet tilsættes før koncentrationstrinnet.
15. Fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 13, kendetegnet ved at dispergeringsmidlet tilsættes efter koncentrationstrinnet.
16. Fremgangsmåden ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 13 til 15, kendetegnet ved at caIciumcarbonatet i den vandige opløsning er formalet før koncentrationstrinnet.
