Abstract

An arrangement for a telescopic ascending pipe with a lower cylindrical pipe part 10 and an upper cylindrical pipe part 11 which is displaceable therein and has a cover ring 12 provided with a seal which comprises an elastic flexible straight strip 13 of groove-shaped cross section which is placed on the inner edge of a relatively rigid circular anchoring and stabilizing ring 14 so as to follow the shape of the latter, is positioned on the edge surface of the lower pipe part with the rigid ring projecting radially outwards from the sealing strip and embedded in surrounding filling material, and bears sealingly against the upper pipe part with a lip 16 projecting from the strip. <IMAGE>
