Claims (8)
1. Peptid eller protein til anvendelse som en biomarkør til påvisning af en psykiatrisk sygdom eller kognitiv dysfunktion, hvor proteinet er Neurexin-2-beta-præcursor bestående af aminosyresekvensen udtrykt ved SEQ ID NO: 1 eller proteinet er et protein bestående af aminosyresekvensen afledt af SEQ ID NO: 1 ved deletion, udveksling og/eller addition af en til tre aminosyrer, og peptidet er Neurexin-2-beta-præcursor-afledt peptid NRX2B bestående af aminosyresekvensen udtrykt ved SEQ ID NO: 2 eller peptidet er et peptid bestående af en aminosyresekvens afledt af SEQ ID No. 2 ved deletion, udveksling og/eller addition af en til tre aminosyrer.
2. Peptid eller protein ifølge krav 1, hvor peptidet eller proteinet er peptidet til anvendelse som en biomarkør af kognitiv dysfunktion bestående af aminosyresekvensen udtrykt ved SEQ ID NO: 2, som forekommer eller er øget i biologisk materiale hos patienter med kognitiv dysfunktion sammenlignet med biologisk materiale hos individer, der ikke lider af en psykiatrisk sygdom.
3. Peptid eller protein ifølge krav 1, hvor peptidet eller proteinet er peptidet til anvendelse som en biomarkør af Alzheimers sygdom bestående af aminosyresekvensen udtrykt ved SEQ ID NO: 2, som forekommer eller er øget i biologisk materiale hos patienter med Alzheimers sygdom sammenlignet med biologisk materiale hos individer, der ikke lider af en ikke-dement neurologisk sygdom.
4. Peptid eller protein ifølge et af kravene 1 til 3, hvor peptidet har en molekylvægt på mindre end 10000 eller har mindre end 50 aminosyrer.
5. In-vitro-fremgangsmåde til påvisning af en psykiatrisk sygdom eller kognitiv dysfunktion, der indeholder fastlæggelsen i biologisk materiale af mindst et peptid eller protein som beskrevet i krav 1.
6.1 n-vitro-f remgangsmåde ifølge krav 5 til påvisning af kognitiv dysfunktion, ved hvilken en patient bedømmes til at lide af kognitiv dysfunktion, når pepti- det, efter fastlæggelsen i biologisk materiale af peptidet som biomarkør for kognitiv dysfunktion som beskrevet i krav 2, findes at være til stede i en større mængde end i individer, der ikke lider af en psykiatrisk sygdom.
7. Kit til påvisning af en psykiatrisk sygdom indeholdende antistof eller apta-mer, der er specifikt for mindst et peptid eller protein som beskrevet i krav 1, til at fastlægge mindst et peptid eller protein som beskrevet i krav 1.
8. Kit til påvisning af en kognitiv dysfunktion indeholdende antistof eller ap-tamer, der er specifikt for mindst et peptid eller protein som beskrevet i krav 1, til at fastlægge mindst et peptid eller protein som beskrevet i krav 1 eller 2.
