Claims (3)

1. Fremgangsmåde til bedømmelse af virkningsfuldheden af en behandlingskur, der omfatter indgivelse af Hsp90-inhibitoren NVP-AUY922, til behandling af melanom eller mavecancer i et individ, idet fremgangsmåden omfatter: a) at bringe en fra individet inden indgivelse af NVP-AUY922 til individet opnået første serum- eller tumorprøve i kontakt med et reagens, der er i stand til at påvise IL-8; b) at bringe en fra individet efter indgivelse af NVP-AUY922 opnået anden serumeller tumorprøve i kontakt med et reagens, der er i stand til at påvise IL-8; og c) at sammenligne IL-8-niveauerne fra den første og den anden serum- eller tumorprøve, idet et i den første serum- eller tumorprøve tilstedeværende forhøjet niveau af IL-8 i forhold til den anden serum- eller tumorprøve er tegn på, at behandlingskuren er virkningsfuld til behandling af melanom eller mavecancer i individet.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, ved hvilken mRNA-niveauerfor IL-8 påvises.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, ved hvilken proteinniveauer eller -aktivitet for IL-8 påvises.
