Claims (9)
1. Fremgangsmåde til diagnosticering af lavgrad inflammation i et tilsyneladende raskt pattedyrindivid, såsom et menneske-individ, omfattende: (a) udføre en in w'tro-måling af niveauet af en markør i form af opløselig urokinase-plasminogen-aktivatorreceptor (suPAR) og/eller D2D3-kløv-ningsprodukter af suPAR, i én eller flere prøver indeholdende en biologisk væske opnået fra individet, og (b) anvende den ene eller flere målte værdier opnået som en faktor i diagnosen af lavgrad inflammation.
2. Fremgangsmåde til forudsigelse af risikoen for at udvikle en lavgrad-inflammation-relateret sygdom, i et pattedyr-individ, såsom et menneske-individ, omfattende at: (a) udføre en in w'fro-måling af niveauet af en markør i form af (i) opløselig urokinase-plasminogen-aktivatorreceptor (suPAR), og/eller (ii) D2D3 kløvningsprodukter af suPAR i én eller flere prøver indeholdende en biologisk væske opnået fra individet, og (b) anvende den målte værdi opnået som en faktor til at forudse risikoen for at udvikle en lavgrad-inflammations-relateret sygdom.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvor den biologiske væske er blodserum, blodplasma eller urin.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvor mere end én af prøverne omfatter et biologisk væske der er blevet afledt fra individet ved mere end et tidspunkt.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 4, yderligere sammenligne niveauet af markøren ved ét eller flere tidspunkter for at bedømme virkningen af et profylaktisk forløb og/eller behandling.
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 5, hvor det profylaktiske forløb omfatter fysisk motion.
7. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 5 eller 6, hvor et fald i niveauet af markøren på mindst 10% og/eller 1 ng/ml angiver virkning.
8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor in wfro-målingen er et ELISA-assay.
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor fremgangsmåden yderligere omfatter at udføre en glucosetolerencetest, eller teste TNF-alfa, IL-6, leukocyttælling, fastende plasma-glucose eller fastende blod-glucose, blodtryk, kolesterol, C-reaktiv protein- og/eller triglyceridniveauer.
