Claims (20)

1. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af mikro- eller nanopartikler ud fra en vandig opløsning af en biopolymer med en molekylvægt på 70 kDa eller mere, omfattende trinnet med a) forstøvning af den vandige opløsning sammen med en blanding af en komprimerbar gas omfattende kuldioxid og et vandopløseligt organisk co-opløsnings-middel/antiopløsningsmiddel ind i et tryksat kammer ved en temperatur liggende fra 25 til 80°C og et tryk liggende fra 8 til 40 MPa, hvor co-opløsningsmidlet/antiopløsnings-midlet foreligger i blandingen i en koncentration på 20% til 80% (w:w) i sub- eller superkritisk kuldioxid.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, som yderligere omfatter trinnet med skylning af kammeret efter afslutning af udfældningen af partikler med tilstrækkelige mængder af en komprimerbar gas for at fjerne eventuelt resterende co-opløsningsmiddel/antiopløs-ningsmiddel.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvor det vandopløselige co-opløsningsmid-del/antiopløsningsmiddel omfatter ethanol, acetone eller isopropanol, eller blandinger deraf.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor den vandige opløsning og den komprimerbare gas/co-opløsningsmiddel/antiopløsningsmiddel forstøves ind i trykkammeret igennem en koaksialdyse.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor biopolymeren omfatter et polysaccharid.
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 5, hvor polysaccharidet omfatter gummi-arabicum eller β-glucan.
7. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor et vandopløseligt organisk opløsningsmiddel blandes med den vandige opløsning før trin (a).
8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, omfattende det yderligere trin med skylning af kammeret med en anden gas med en anden densitet end den komprimerbare gas, for at fjerne eventuelle resterende opløsningsmidler.
9. Produkt fremstillet ved fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 1, og omfattende mikro- eller nanopartikler, eller agglomerater deraf, af en biopolymer med en molekylvægt større end 70 kDa, og med en massefylde på mindre end 0,10 g/ml.
10. Produkt ifølge krav 9, som omfatter β-glucan med en massefylde på 0,01 g/ml, efter formaling for dannelse af frit strømmende fiberagglomerater med en længde på mindre end 5 mm.
11. Produkt ifølge krav 9, som er i høj grad opløseligt i vand, således at en 1% (w/w) vandig opløsning dannes på 45 minutter ved 45°C og 30 minutter ved 55°C.
12. Fremgangsmåde til mikroindkapsling af et bioaktivt materiale med en biopolymer omfattende følgende trin: a) opløsning af det bioaktive materiale i et opløsningsmiddel, omfattende vand eller et vandopløseligt organisk opløsningsmiddel, sub- eller superkritisk CO2, en gas-ekspanderet væske, lipider eller blandinger deraf; b) kontinuerlig blanding af det opløste bioaktive materiale i en vandig opløsning af en biopolymer for tilvejebringelse af en blanding; og c) forstøvning af den vandige blanding af bioaktivt materiale og biopolymer sammen med en blanding af en komprimerbar gas og co-opløsningsmiddel/antiopløsningsmiddel i et trykkammer.
13. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 12, hvor det bioaktive opløsningsmiddel omfatter vand, ethanol, acetone eller isopropanol, eller blandinger deraf.
14. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 12, hvor co-opløsningsmidlet/antiopløsningsmidlet omfatter ethanol, acetone eller isopropanol eller blandinger deraf.
15. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 12, hvor den komprimerbare gas omfatter kuldioxid.
16. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 12, omfattende det yderligere trin med skylning af kammeret efter afslutning af udfældningen af partikler med tilstrækkelige mængder af den komprimerbare gas, for at fjerne eventuelt resterende opløsningsmiddel eller co-opløsningsmiddel/antiopløsningsmiddel.
17. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 16, omfattende det yderligere trin med skylning af kammeret med en anden gas med en lavere densitet end den komprimerbare gas, som blev anvendt i trin c), for at fjerne eventuelt resterende opløsningsmiddel eller co-opløsningsmiddel/antiopløsningsmiddel, for at levere et tørt produkt.
18. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 12, hvor det bioaktive materiale omfatter et materiale, som er i det væsentlige opløseligt i et opløsningsmiddel valgt fra gruppen bestående af vand, eller et vandopløseligt organisk opløsningsmiddel, sub- eller superkritisk CO2, gas-ekspanderet ethanol, lipider eller blandinger deraf, og hvilket bioaktive materiale er langt mindre opløseligt i blandinger af tryksat CO2 og opløsningsmidlet ved de betingelser, som anvendes til udfældning af biopolymeren i krav 1.
19. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 12, hvor det opløste bioaktive materiale injiceres i trykkammeret under anvendelse af tryksat nitrogen.
20. Fremgangsmåde ifølge ethvert af kravene 12-19, hvor det bioaktive materiale vælges blandt en fiskeolie, en planteolie, et lipid omfattende mono- eller polyumættede fedtsyrer, et carotenoid, en phytosterol, en tocopherol, en polyphenol, et terpenoid, en antioxidant, et peptid, et protein, en farmaceutisk substans, en nutraceutisk substans, et antiinflammatorisk middel, antimikrobielt, antiviralt eller antifungalt middel.
