Claims (7)
1. Ablationskatetersystem, der omfatter: et kateter med en kateterkanal (300); en indre kanal (325), der er anbragt i og langs kateterkanalen (300); et rørformet flettet element (305) med en ydre periferisk overflade og et lumen, idet det rørformede flettede element har en størrelse og form med henblik på at blive indelukket inde i kateterkanalen, når det er i en sammenpresset konfiguration, og blive udvidet i et målområde i et blodkar i en udvidet konfiguration, kendetegnet ved, at det rørformede flettede element omfatter en proksimal ende og en distal ende, og den proksimale ende er forbundet med de indre vægge i den indre kanal; og systemet endvidere omfatter: et langsgående manøvreringselement (340), der er mekanisk forbundet med den distale ende af det rørformede flettede element og indstillet til at trække den distale ende ind i lumenet med henblik på radialt og udadtil at bøje en flerhed af ringformede kontinuerlige segmenter af det udvidede rørformede flettede element omkring en imaginær torus på en sekventiel måde, således at det rørformede flettede element rulles tilbage i kanalen.
2. System ifølge krav 1, hvor blodkarret er en vene.
3. System ifølge krav 1 eller krav 2, hvor det rørformede flettede element omfatter et net med en flerhed af parallelle fibre hver især med en forskellig stivhedskoefficient.
4. System ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor mindst den ydre periferiske overflade er overtrukket med et lægemiddel.
5. System ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, der endvidere indbefatter en væskekanal, som er lokaliseret inde i den indre kanal og integreret med det langsgående manøvreringselement (340), idet væskekanalen er indstillet til at lede væske langs den indre kanal, mellem målområdet og en beholder uden for kroppen.
6. System ifølge krav 5, hvor væskekanalen har et væskefrigivelseshoved på spidsen, idet væskefrigivelseshovedet har mindst én åbning rettet med henblik på at frigive væske mod væggene eller udtage væske fra målområdet.
7. System ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, hvor det rørformede flettede element er fremstillet af en fiber fremstillet af et materiale, der er udvalgt fra en gruppe bestående af: metalfiber, organisk fiber, glasfiber, bioreaktiv fiber, katalytisk fiber, bioopløselig fiber, inert fiber, højfleksibel fiber, slibefiber, enkeltfilamentfiber og en kombination af ovennævnte.
