Claims (6)

  1. PAT E NT K RAV
    1. Anordning til kodning af et billede, hvor anordningen omfatter: en kodemodusbestemmer (110) konfigureret til at opdele et input-billede i en flerhed af kodningsenheder; en intraprædiktor (140) konfigureret til at generere en prædiktionsblok ved hjælp af intraprædiktion en transformations/kvantiseringsenhed (120) konfigureret til at transformere og kvantisere en restblok for at generere en kvantiseret transformationsblok; en invers kvantiserings/transformationsenhed (160) konfigureret til inverst at kvantisere og inverst at transformere den kvantiserede transformationsblok; og en entropikoder (130) konfigureret til at entropikode kvantiserede transformationskoefficienter af den kvantiserede transformationsblok, hvor de kvantiserede transformationskoefficienter opdeles i en flerhed af underblokke, hvis det bestemmes, at en størrelse på en transformationsbloker lig med eller større end 8x8 i en intraprædiktion, hvor flerheden af underblokke scannes og koefficienter i hver underblok, der er forskellige fra nul, scannes efter et scanningsmønster, hvor scanningsmønsteret til scanning af flerheden af underblokke og til scanning af koefficienterne i hver underblok, der er forskellige fra nul, bestemmes af en intra-prædiktionsmodus for prædiktionsblokken for at entropikode de scannede koefficienter, der er forskellige fra nul, hvor scanningsmønsteret er et lodret scanningsmønster, når intraprædiktionsmodusen er en vandret intraprædik-tionsmodus, hvor intraprædiktionsmodusen kodes baseret på en øvre intraprædiktions-modus for en øvre blok af en aktuel blok og en venstre intraprædiktionsmo-dus for en venstre blok af den aktuelle blok, og den øvre intraprædiktions-modus eller den venstre intraprædiktionsmodus indstilles til en DC-modus, når den øvre blok eller den venstre blok ikke kodes i intraprædiktionsmodus.
