Abstract

1. A ballhead coupling (1) for trailers, having a coupling housing (4) which at its front end is made as part of a hollow ball (5) and in which a ball cup (7) is pivotally seated, where the hollow ball and the ball cup may be brought into engagement with a ballhead (9) fastened to a towing vehicle and the ball cup may be locked relatively to the hollow ball of the coupling housing in its position of engagement, characterized in that the inner face (10) of the hollow ball (5) of the coupling housing (4) and the inner face (12) of the ball cup (7) are provided with a coating (11, 13) of a layer of wear-resistant plastics.
