Abstract

This invention relates to a combined implement for seedbed preparation and sowing, and more precisely to the type that is towed by a tractor T and which comprises various agricultural implements such as harrow, sowing machine, roller etc., which are mounted in suitable order one after the other on a common implement frame 1. The implement frame can be raised and lowered hydraulically, and is provided with adjustable support wheels 5. At its rear end the implement frame carries a roller 4, and a ridge plough 3 is suspended at the front end. The (harrowing) depth adjustment of the implement is achieved in particular by the support wheels, which bear most of the weight of the implement, whilst the remainder of the weight of the implement is borne by the rear roller. The support wheels combined with an articulated draw bar or draw frame 2 co-operate in keeping the harrowing depth constant and the implement frame parallel with the ground regardless of irregularities in the ground. <IMAGE>
