Abstract

1. A device for locking a lid (2) on a pressure cooker vessel (3), comprising a yoke (1) disposed facing the outer surface (2a) of the lid and adapted to be secured in the opposite direction to the vessel by retaining hooks (4) secured to the edge (3a) of the vessel, the lid (2) being connected to the yoke (1) by a screw fixed axially to the lid and screwed into a sleeve (6) connected to a manual control means (9), rotation of which in the direction of lid closure results in the sleeve being unscrewed in relation to the screw, the cover being moved away from the yoke and locked on the edge of the vessel, said screw (5) and said sleeve (6) comprising stops (14, 15) which limit the unscrewing movement in the closure direction in order to limit the force by which the lid (2) is locked against the yoke (1) and the edge (3a) of the vessel (3) to a predetermined value, characterized in that the said stops comprise a widened part (14) of the end of the screw (5) and an annular shoulder (15) formed at the end of the internal screwthreading (16) of the sleeve (6) remote from the lid (2).
