Abstract
Se revela un dispositivo circulatorio que comprende un ventilador de gran diámetro con aspas reforzadas, con forma de alas cónicas. Las aspas del ventilador pueden estar fabricadas mediante el método de extrusión, por el cual cada aspa del ventilador puede comprender un borde posterior reforzado con una brida extensible hacia abajo. El beneficio de fabricar cada aspa del ventilador con un borde remanente reforzado de la invención actual resulta en características estructurales mejoradas tales que el borde remanente del aspa del ventilador puede ser fabricado más largo, con la finalidad de mejorar el desempeño aerodinámico. Además, el borde remanente reforzado resiste la rotura que puede ocurrir durante la extrusión, agregando la región embridada doblada a por lo menos un extremo distal del borde remanente. Por ejemplo, la porción doblada del borde remanente tiende a orientar de manera rígida el material extrudido a una posición estabilizada más rápidamente durante la fabricación. Además, la porción doblada ofrece una solidez adicional, brindando fuerzas de apoyo en dos dimensiones relativamente paralelas y perpendiculares a su longitud como para neutralizar los efectos adversos de la presión que actúa sobre el borde remanente del aspa del ventilador durante la extrusión.
