Los ácidos 4-aminopicolínicos de la fórmula (I) en la cual Y representa -CF2(alquilo de C1-C3); y W representa -NO2, -N3, -NR1R2, -N=CR3R4 o -NHN=CR3R4 que tienen sustituyentes (1,1-di-fluofoalquilo) en la posición 6 y sus derivados de amina y ácido son herbicidas potentes que demuestran un amplio espectro de control de malas hierbas.
