Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método para producir un adsorbente, en particular, una tierra de blanqueamiento en donde un material de arcilla que tiene: un área superficial de 180 a 300 m2/g; un volumen total de poro de 0.5 a 0.7 ml/l; en donde por lo menos el 60% del volumen total de poro es proporcionado por poros que tienen un diámetro de poro de por lo menos de 140 Å, por lo menos 40 % del volumen total de poro es proporcionado por poros que tienen un diámetro de poro de menos de 250 Å, por lo menos 15 % del volumen total de poro es proporcionado por poros que tienen un diámetro de poro de 140 a 250 Å; y dicho material de arcilla tiene una estructura amorfa de acuerdo a datos XRD; es activada mediante un procedimiento de activación. Adicionalmente, la invención se refiere a un adsorbente tal como se obtiene por el método y un método para la purificación de aceites, grasas y biocombustibles.
