Abstract

Biogases such as natural gas and other gases capable of being derived biologically by digestion of organic matter are converted to a clean combustion hydrocarbon liquid fuel in a process where a biogas is fed to a reactor where the biogas is contacted with a fraction of liquid petroleum and a transition metal catalyst immersed in the liquid, the evaporated gaseous product is removed from a vapor space above the level of the liquid, condensed, and fed to a product container where the condensate is separated from the uncondensed gas and taken out as the liquid combustible product. Uncondensed gas can be recycled to the reactor.
