Abstract

Un sistema modular y el método para la producción de urea a partir de biomasa que incluye la limpieza de la materia prima (biomasa) para eliminar sustancialmente toda la materia no orgánica, mezcla de la biomasa limpia para obtener una mezcla sustancialmente homogénea, granulación de la biomasa mezclada y gasificación de los gránulos en un generador de gas. La materia prima (biomasa) puede incluir materiales de biomasa que tienen diferentes características de procesamiento. El paso de gasificación incluye preferiblemente la pulverización de los gránulos a un tamaño fino de partícula, la inyección de un aceite orgánico en la niebla de biomasa de entrada cuando sea necesario, y el control de la velocidad de alimentación para mantener una temperatura de combustión prácticamente constante. La corriente de gas de síntesis resultante es limpia y se comprime a una alta presión de cerca de 6000 a 7000 psi. La corriente de amoniaco resultante se procesa en un sistema de circuito de derivación de reciclado a la tasa de conversión de 30% a una alta presión de cerca de 6000 a 7000 psi. El equipo asociado con cada una de las etapas del proceso puede ser de tipo móvil para la portabilidad y contenido en un remolque de cama plana estándar de 48 pies.
