Abstract

La invención provee una unidad y un sistema de tratamiento primario, para la recolección de biogás conteniendo metano a partir de aguas residuales. La unidad de tratamiento primario está configurada para separar el asentamiento de las aguas residuales y la digestión de lodo en dos regiones o cámaras separadas del tanque. La región de asentamiento está adaptada para recibir las aguas residuales y dejar salir un efluente líquido y la región de digestión está adaptada para recibir los componentes sólidos de las aguas residuales desde la región de asentamiento y dejar salir el biogás conteniendo metano generado sustancialmente en la digestión. La unidad de tratamiento primario está diseñada de manera que el biogás conteniendo metano salga sin entrar en contacto con la escoria de las aguas residuales. El sistema comprende, además, un sistema para la recolección de biogás, configurado para recibir el biogás conteniendo metano, desde la región de digestión de la primera unidad de tratamiento primario.
