Abstract

Un aparato construido por tejido refractario a las bacterias y absorbente (1) (rayón, algodón, polímero absorbente o esponja), con canales de absorción que permiten la retención del flujo y su paso hacia el interior del aparato (6), que en su parte superior se ubica un embudo colector (2), el cual estará orientado hacia el cérvix o en contacto directo con este, conectado a un tubo colector (3) que puede tener diversas configuraciones (acanalado, cerrado, perforado) según el tipo de flujo y el tipo de paciente, el mismo que permite el paso de flujo menstrual desde el embudo colector hasta el reservorio colector (4), que es un pequeño tanque colector que está parcialmente lleno de fluido conservador de la integridad celular, para evitar la deformación de las células, finalmente en su parte inferior consta de un hilo para extracción (5), que se encuentra anclado desde la base del reservorio para evitar que se desprenda.
